Professional baseball’s Yomiuri Giants team began their training camp at Naha on 14 February. Club President Tsukasa Imamura visited the Okinawa Prefecture Building for a face to face meeting with Governor Denny Tamaki. Governor Tamaki conveyed the prefecture’s gratitude to the Giants’ Club and others for the establishment of the Covid-19 test center in Naha, noting, “We have received the total strength of your cooperation in the testing.” At the establishment of the center in January of last year, in addition to testing for professional baseball and J-League soccer players, testing was also carried out on prefectural people who desired it.
