As Okinawa’s governor expresses gratitude for their PCR test center, Giants Club President Imamura responds, “We’re not going to bring that virus into our camp’s environment.” (15fe22)

Professional baseball’s Yomiuri Giants team began their training camp at Naha on 14 February. Club President Tsukasa Imamura visited the Okinawa Prefecture Building for a face to face meeting with Governor Denny Tamaki.


Governor Tamaki conveyed the prefecture’s gratitude to the Giants’ Club and others for the establishment of the Covid-19 test center in Naha, noting, “We have received the total strength  of your cooperation in the testing.”


At the establishment of the center in January of last year, in addition to testing for professional baseball and J-League soccer players, testing was also carried out on prefectural people who desired it. 


Governor Tamaki elaborated, “Working together on virus  spread prevention measures, if we show it can be done, we can pair spread prevention and  the enjoyment of sport as the Okinawan style. President Imamura explained, “We’re testing repeatedly and thoroughly, so we don’t bring that virus into the environment of our camp.”

Splendor of Okinawa: Temple Tree, Mihama Beach, 1de25 CEO Takeshi Kato of Japan Entertainment (JE), which manages JUNGLIA Okinawa, visited Governor Denny Tamaki at the Prefectural Office on 28 November.  　 The CEO reported on the 4 months since the attraction’s opening. He repeatedly brought up dealing with operational improvements and such based on the voices of visitors to the park.  　 The CEO specifically mentioned the evening concerts in the park’s garden and, starting from December, the free entry of one child with each adult, targeting the prefecture’s people.
