So, a remand motion to put on hold the new 2025 General Budget Initial Proposal, which contains the Office’s operational expenses, has been adopted by the Prefectural Assembly. On 17 February, responding to the problem, Governor Denny Tamaki noted, “There is no legal basis for such a remand.” As of the present, he clearly is not considering responding by cutting the funds from the budget proposal. However, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) faction, which submitted the motion, has committed to its plan of sticking to its refusal of deliberations.
