Splendor of Okinawa: Indian Blanket, beachside Mihama, 10mr25 0n 17 March, House of Councillors Representative Tetsuji Takara (71), with a re-election bid in view in this summer’s House of Councilors election, announced his intention not to stand as a candidate in his Okinawa election district. Voices have arisen from the force of All Okinawa, which backs Governor Denny Tamaki, claiming this was due to “difficulties in support.” So, All Okinawa is in a rush to select a new candidate. Representative Takara held a press conference in Naha. He stated, “After careful consideration of various objections, I have decided that my entrance into the race was not a path to answer the expectations of our prefecture’s people.” Representative Takara is connected to the “Okinawa Wind” faction in the House of Councillors.
