Okinawa Governor Tamaki announced that, even when the “State of Emergency Declaration” reaches its limit at the end of the month and gets lifted, or if there is no move to other heavy extended prevention measures, he will set in motion the Prefecture’s own measures.  


Okinawa Governor Denny Tamaki stated, “As for relief from the contagion prevention measures, it’s not a matter of a sudden lifting, but my thinking is that it has to be done in stages.” Governor Tamaki further announced that he would put in place the prefecture’s own measures, if the national contagion situation should continue to worsen or if the case occurs where the “State of Emergency Declaration” gets lifted but there is no move toward other heavy extended prevention measures. 


As for bars and restaurants, he is considering allowing the sale of alcohol with conditions attached such as shortened business hours. However, the plan will not be formally finalized until he receives the National Government’s decision on concrete contents and a timetable.


Okinawa Prefecture Governor Denny Tamaki also stated, “After the “State of Emergency Declaration“ period, we must earnestly share the acknowledgment of areas of so-called conflict. I think the people of the prefecture want to overcome these important obstacles as one.

He repeatedly brought up dealing with operational improvements and such based on the voices of visitors to the park.  　 The CEO specifically mentioned the evening concerts in the park’s garden and, starting from December, the free entry of one child with each adult, targeting the prefecture’s people.
